A BRONZE CENSER WITH TWO ELEPHANT HANDLES Qing Dynasty
This censer has a chestnut colored exterior with a reddish inside. The mouth is round with a flat rim. The shoulders slope into a drooping abdominal which is slightly flattened. A pair of elephant heads adorn the sides of the outer wall representing peace and tranquility. The bottom is a wide circular foot which is almost the same diameter as the mouth. On the bottom is written Yu Tang Q.ng Wan in two rows. Due to the classically beautiful color, this censer would be a dignified item which can be displayed on one's desk.
