A BRONZE TRIPOD CENSER WITH BRONZE STAND Qing Dynasty
Made of pure bronze with a tawny bronze skin, the piece has a rich color that shines beautifully. It starts with a round opening with flat rim before narrowing at the neck into a drum abdominal. A pair of Ban handles extend out from either side of the neck and the abdominal. The drum abdominal is slightly flat with a round base that continues onto three small legs. On the bottom, the four-characters Forever the Treasure of the Precious Abode are written across two lines in seal script and embossed horizontally in a square frame in the middle. This censer also includes a base comprised of three curled Ruyi clouds. The entire piece is even and smooth with graceful contours.
