Nano Warsono was born in Jepara, Indonesia in 1976. He graduated from the Indonesian Institute of Art, Yogyakarta, in 2002, with a major in sculpture. Warsono’s paintings and sculptures often displace the iconic characters in a fusion context of reality and fiction, in order to display the actually existing issues such as geopolitical power imbalance.
