Marina is a contemporary artist and illustrator based in Sapporo, Hokkaido, born in 1986 in Esashi, Hokkaido, into a temple family. Growing up in a culturally rich environment, she later moved to Sapporo to pursue her artistic career. After graduating from Hokkaido Design College, she began her professional journey as an illustrator while simultaneously developing her painting practice.

The artist has conceptualized her creative philosophy as "VENUS EYE," a unique perspective born from her experiences growing up in a female-dominated household with her mother and aunt, combined with her own journey through motherhood. Her work centers on exploring women's lifestyles and inner worlds, employing diverse media including acrylic paints and digital creation to construct a distinctive aesthetic that blends reality and fantasy.

Marina's artistic vision is deeply influenced by her cultural heritage - the vibrant atmosphere of Esashi festivals, her longing for the sea, and her upbringing as a temple granddaughter collectively shape the unique "Heavenly Girl" worldview in her works. This world encompasses both a transcendent, goddess-like perspective overlooking humanity and the authentic experiences of women in the real world, creating an artistic realm where reality and illusion intertwine.

In recent years, she has further ventured into the virtual art domain, creating the virtual musician artist "MOMOKO" as an extension of her artistic expression. Her artistic achievements have gained international recognition, with her works distributed through global platforms like Artsy and featured in numerous international art fairs including Artexpo New York, Art Santa Fe, Art Busan and Art Taipei.

In the commercial sphere, Marina's works have served as main visual designs for prominent institutions and events such as Hokkaido University of Science, Atsuko Maeda Sapporo Cinema Festival, and Consadole Sapporo.
