Born in Yilan, Taiwan, Lin received BA degree of Fine Arts from Chinese Culture University, Taiwan in 1987. In 1997, he received MA degree of Visual Arts from Goldsmiths College, University of London, UK. His philosophical expression leads to a poetic simplicity in his art creation. By transforming the forms, compositions, and the ways he uses his brushstroke, Lin built up an environment of purity in a dreamlike space.
