Joseph YEN (YEN Chen-ying) 閻振瀛

Yen Chen-Ying was born in Lai-yang, Shan-tung Province of China, 1940. He earned his Ph.D. in Speech and Dramatic Arts from Brigham Young University in the United States. He is currently a professor of Foreign Languages & Literature department, a former chairman of Liberal Arts Dean, and Director of Art Studies Institute in National Cheng Kung University. Professor Ying doesn't manage or perform sedulously in his arts' creation, he just keeps his appreciation of beauty during life in practice. He held 26 solo exhibitions, including Paris exhibition, Beijing exhibition, and the invited exhibition at National Gallery of National Museum of History in Taiwan and Asian American Arts Center in New York. Also, he has joined in numerous group-exhibitions, which were widely held in Taiwan, Hong-Kong, Chinese Mainland (P.R.C.), the United States, Russia, Belgium, Japan and some other countries in South and Middle Americas.
