Courtesy name Zi-gao, a native of Dajia, Taichung. He formerly served as a full-time professor at National Taiwan University of Arts. A leading contemporary Taiwanese calligrapher, he is proficient in all five script types, excelling particularly in small regular script (xiaokai), with rigorous brush structure and dynamic vitality. He has received prestigious honors including the Wu San-lien Literary and Art Award and the Sun Yat-sen Literary and Art Award.
